[Course Objectives]
This course is the continuation of English CI. In this course, students will further develop and practice English comprehension, speaking, and discussion skills acquired in English CI. Each class will focus on one general psychology topic that everyone can relate to. The essays have approximately 250 words that describe a personal opinion or a study (the purpose, methodology, and results). In class, students are expected to:
• actively use spoken English in various situations such as pair and group discussions, interviews, and brainstorming to express their opinion on class topics
• use vocabulary and expressions learned in class for class activities
• practice critical thinking based on spoken communication
[Learning Objectives]
By successfully completing this course, students will:
• expand their vocabulary with approximately 100 words
• learn useful phrases to express their opinion
• gain further awareness of how they relate to the general psychology topics presented in class
• become acquainted with the basic structure of papers
• gain some exposure to English on the Internet

In this course, you will develop English comprehension and speaking skills by mainly by listening to short essays and having discussions on general psychology topics. Each essay has approximately 250 words that describe a personal opinion or a study (the purpose, methodology, and results) on a psychology-related topic.
In each class, one essay will be covered and you will:
• actively use spoken English in various situations such as pair and group discussions, interviews, and brainstorming to express your opinion on class topics
• apply vocabulary and expressions related to class topics
• practice critical thinking and problem-solving skills based on spoken communication
